physical abuse

Physical abuse is often what many people think of when they hear the term Domestic Abuse, but many survivors say that the emotional abuse is more harmful and harder to heal from than the physical abuse they experienced. Physical abuse is often one of the last tactics an abuser will use to regain his control over his partner, so it is very common for people to be in an abusive relationship and to never have been hit. Physical abuse can be using physical force to injure, scare, cause pain, disable or even kill the other person. Among many other examples it can include slapping, shoving, shaking, pushing, pinching, burning, biting, restraining, strangulation, punching, physical abuse can also be throwing objects at or near you to scare you.
